Went to the gym for the first time tonight, tried a bunch of different machines, was there for about an hour and a half (I think).
Made two major mistakes tonight.
The first was starting on the elliptical machine.
After 10 minutes of messing around on there I was so dizzy I had to get off, had trouble walking for a few minutes. Got myself some water and resisted the urge to sit down, just walked slowly around the club.
After that I got on the treadmill and kicked some ass, then tried a bunch of arm/back/leg weight machines. Had fun. Ended the workout with another 10 minutes on the treadmill. Apparently I _CAN_ actually run, I just have issues pacing myself when I'm not on a treadmill.
The second mistake was going to the bar at Chili's afterwards to grab something to drink.
My friends will tell you that I'm not much of a drinker, and that is MORE than doubly true when I've just used muscles I forgot I even had. I started with a captain & coke, pretty easygoing, no problem. Was planning to stop there, but a few guys we were talking to bought us a round, and I found myself drinking a very strong "margarita". I put quotes around it because I'm pretty sure the bartender gave me a glass of tequila with a shot of margarita mix in it just for color.
Needless to say, now that I'm tired and had more to drink than usual, I'm feeling NO FREAKIN PAIN!
We'll see what happens tomorrow.
Oh, speaking of tomorrow, its the tenth anniversary of the last IRC network I founded, StarFyre.org. I would love it if people would drop in and say hi, or just idle. It would be amazing to see how high we can get the user count for the ten year anniversary. Connect at irc.starfyre.org, people are usually in #absolute, #monstershow, #rusammy, and I'll be in #smrsh. For those who don't have IRC, feel free to use mibbit to connect to shard.starfyre.org and join us for some... well, probably idle.
Hope to see you all (or anyone) there!

In the interests of stimulating my poor decaying brain, I have decided to try to post at least one entry a day for the next 344 days. Today's entry is kinda useless, and there will probably be other useless entries, but its a goal.
